Yá’át’ééh! In our Diné way of introduction, I am Yoo'í Dine'é - Bead Clan. Kin Yaa’áanii dashizhé’é dóó dashicheii dóó Tódích’íí’nii dashinálí. Towering House and Bitter Water Clans are my fathers and grandparents. In the Western world, my name is Jennifer Jackson Wheeler, and I am from the Navajo Nation. I am simply demonstrating in our Diné language how to make various traditional and modern foods. Not only do I love cooking and baking for my family, friends, and community, but I am a strong advocate of sustaining and revitalizing our Indigenous languages. Immersion is the best way to learn a language, and I am providing this opportunity for our Diné people to start conversations and discussions with family and friends to learn these recipes.
